We at Woodstock Hydro are please to announce that our Photovoltaic Array and Educational Kiosk were formally unveiled on June 20, 2006, and would like to thank all those who came out and made this event such a success!

Those in attendance at this event, including the grade 5 class from Holy Family French Immersion School, were given impassioned presentations about the importance of Renewable Energy and Conservation from key figures in this project and in the Conservation and Demand Management Initiatives taking place across the province.  Guest speakers included Ontario Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy and Chair of the Conservation Action Team, Jeff Leal, CEO of ARISE Technologies Inc., Ian MacLellan, and the Mayor of the City of Woodstock, Michael Harding.  Following the presentations were a question and answer session, in which several excellent questions were posed by the grade five class, refreshements, and an opportunity for all to test out the new interactive kiosk!
